This area has big water, big fish, and miles of fish-holding structure to capture the imagination. There are saddles, deep-water humps, and weedlines of coontail and cabbage that go on for mile upon enticing mile. Both Georgian Bay and Lake Nipissing hold deep-bellied trophies that can tip the scales past the 50-pound mark. Some say a world record muskie might be lurking in these fish-rich waters.

The region holds the current Ontario record, a 65-pound monster caught by Ken O'Brien in 1988. Although both Georgian Bay and Nipissing are big waters, with big possibilities, they offer lots of nooks and crannies where anglers and their guides can seek solitude and build the kind of memories that last a lifetime.
